Hello my incredible fans and welcome to the long overdue Michael Grimm Official Interactive Fan Club!
For those of you that don't know me, I am Michael Grimm. I am from a small town in Biloxi, MS and grew up eating, breathing and sleeping music. My history is long but for the purposes of this intro, I will give you a summation of my journey. I started in small little bars on the Gulf Coast with nothing more than a little karaoke machine, which earned me enough tips to buy my first guitar. I taught myself to play and practiced every day until my fingers bled. Fast forward to my teens, I released my first album in country music and won a CCMA Award at the age of 16. I thought that was my big break, but after a major standstill, I went on to play guitar for other acts, sang whenever I could and ultimately became a Nashville song writer. Legends in Concert brought me to Las Vegas in 2000 where I have been ever since. Las Vegas allowed me to work full time for the first time in my life and make a decent living. I honed my craft and released another album or two while eventually headlining the Vegas showrooms with my own band.
In 2010, I decided to take my manager's advice and give my career another go, so I auditioned and ultimately won America's Got Talent. My win allowed me to build my grandparents a new home (they lost everything in hurricane Katrina), land a recording contract with Sony/Epic Records, release a new label backed album, find all of you wonderful fans, buy a new car and ultimately give the rest to Uncle Sam. Fame hit hard and fast. Unfortunately it was not only short-lived but I was mentally unprepared for the stress and intensity of that experience. I also was unprepared for the loss of control over my image, my music, my sound - everything - and it sent me into an artistic depression. While I got to tour with industry greats, and everything seemed like it should've been a dream come true, it ended up destroying my creativity. The album hit #13 on Billboard and I got to ride another wave. After several years and no second album push from my label, I decided to part ways and return to my music and regain my soul. So, I went back to being independent - while I'm not as huge of a star as everyone wanted me to be, I'm happy and love what I do and where I'm at. I've been headlining Las Vegas, really since 2004, and everything that's happened in my career has a wonderful journey- wouldn't change it.
Today, I'm in my second year headlining the amazing Myron's Cabaret at Smith Center in Las Vegas, touring in my downtime and working on another album (or two). Touring is a challenge because I usually have to fund the tour myself or rely on venues that want to bring me to certain cities. In case you are wondering why I don't come to all the cities you ask for, that's why. I have a wonderful booking team that does an amazing job but it's not always financially feasible to visit all the cities and do a massive tour. So, when you see that I'm coming to a venue near you don't wait for next time because it might not come. That is a very real thing, but with a collection of all of you amazing, compassionate and incredibly supporting fans, I'm constantly motivated to do more! So thank you for that.
Now... why this page....
I am incredibly grateful and blessed to be surrounded by amazing musicians that make up my band, a die-hard team of people that promote, book, manage and handle all the things that I need help with so that I can focus on my music, and all of you amazing fans that fuel the very thing I do. Without you, there would be no me.
This is a very special project that I and my team are starting to accommodate the growing online community and the inevitable change in the entertainment industry. There are a few main reasons for the existence of this new page.
First and foremost, you! I have had you supporting me on my social media pages and at my shows for years, and due to the lack of a good platform I haven't been able to give back the way that I have wanted. Facebook and Instagram have become platforms that are not secure for me to share exclusive content in. In fact, just this year alone, I have been impersonated by no less than 13 people claiming to be me and trying to steal and sell things to my fans. Here, everything I share, no matter how sensitive or private, will stay secure and you will know it is coming from me. So, it's the perfect place to launch an interactive fan club.
Secondly, let's face it, times are changing and fewer and fewer people are able to make it out to live shows because of higher work loads, family functions, travel costs or simply timing. So, while I will still tour and do my live shows, I'm also going to start doing livestreams of select concerts and you can join in from home, work, your cell phone, your iPad or any other place that works best for you. These live stream concerts will be exclusive to my Patreon fans!
The fun doesn't end there. I have lots of things in the works! I have a new album that is about to release, and yes, I am working on second album for this year! I'm also working on getting the livestreams going as well as doing some live acoustic jam sessions that you can join in on... more on that as it develops.
I've set up 6 membership packages that I think will be fun for you and give you a lot of options. I will continue to take your feedback into consideration to make this community as mutually rewarding as possible. The beauty is that this whole thing is completely optional - YOU decide if you want to join and how much you would like to pledge, and every pledge is greatly appreciated. I can't say it enough - thank you for keeping my music alive!
Now the not-so-fun, awkward part; so let's get it done.
Money. Yes, this fan club has a monthly fee of various levels depending on what you want to be a part of. This fan club will get amazing benefits and the membership levels are priced so that I can effectively bring in the people needed to bring you more of what you are wanting!
A lot of work goes into capturing and posting photos, videos, livestreams, communicating with the social sites and so on, so I am pulling together a team of photographers, videographers and industry pros that can capture me at my best so that I can share that with you here. The funding on this site helps pull in these industry pros and allows me to interact with you directly and focus on music, art and creating, which is why I suspect you are here to begin with.
In summation, thank you for all your support and for visiting this page. I truly value all of you because without you there would be no reason to make music. Without you there would be no stage and without you, there would be no job for me to go to. I humbly thank you and sincerely welcome you to my official interactive fan page.
